Eligibility:

The following criteria shall be met by each participant to be eligible for the Scholarship Programme:

• Citizenship: The participant must be a citizen of India holding a valid passport to participate in the Scholarship Programme (scanned copy of Passport, front & back, required)
• Scholarship period: Applications will be open from 25th July to 31st December for test takers who have taken a LanguageCert Academic test between 1 June 2024 and 31st December, 2024 

• Applicants must have an offer from higher education institution in the United Kingdom stating their full-time acceptance on campus academic program for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semesters. In addition to supplying a copy of the offer letter, the applicant agrees for LanguageCert to contact the Institution to confirm enrollment status, for verification purposes.  

Scholarship:

• LanguageCert India shall declare the Scholarship winners in January 2025. The Scholarships will be disbursed when the winners start their first semester in their UK Higher Education Institution.

• A total of ₹ 20 Lacs will be distributed amongst five (5) winners - each winner will receive ₹ 4 Lacs.     

Selection Criteria:

• Applicants must submit answers for two prompts below (maximum 300 words per prompt). Answers should be submitted on a word document and returned via email to contact.india@languagecert.org.

2) Tell us about your decision to study in the UK? Why did you choose the institution you applied to, and what do you hope to gain from the experience?

• Scholarships for this program are awarded on a competitive basis, and all applications will be reviewed and scored by the LanguageCert scholarship committee. Responses must not exceed the 300-word count, otherwise the application will be rejected. 

Winner’s Obligations:

• Promotional Activities: The Scholarship Winners will participate in the promotional activities for LanguageCert Academic and when requested by LanguageCert India.
• The Winners will be required to act as a LanguageCert Academic Brand Ambassador and share static and video testimonials and record two of his/her videos on campus at a foreign university that he/she has joined.
• The Winners may also be required to promote LanguageCert amongst his/her network.

• A participant shall be eligible to win this Scholarship only once. Any subsequent wins of the participant will automatically be deemed void.
• By participation in the Scholarship Programme, it shall imply that participants agree to all the T&C’s mentioned herein. Any participant found using any unfair means anytime during the Scholarship Programme will be immediately disqualified at the sole discretion of LanguageCert India. LanguageCert India reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against the participant in case of any violation of applicable laws.
• Participation in the Scholarship Programme is wholly voluntary and by participating in the Scholarship Programme, the participants agree to receive communication(s) from LanguageCert India relating to the Scholarship Programme and the participant unconditionally agrees not to make any claims or raise any complaint against LanguageCert India in this regard.
• Winners shall be allowed to claim their Scholarships only upon proper submission of all relevant details/documents for review in the manner that shall be communicated by LanguageCert India. In case the Winner fails to furnish the details/documents on or before the date designated by LanguageCert India for this purpose, or accept delivery of the Scholarship, the Winner shall be deemed to have surrendered the Scholarship. In such case, LanguageCert India reserves the right to offer the Scholarship to the next suitable participant. 
• All taxes, levies, and duties due and owing under applicable and statutory laws in connection with all Scholarship if any, and all other costs, including insurance, incidental costs, gifts, gratuities, and taxes, are the sole responsibility of the Winner(s).
• The Scholarships under the Scholarship Programme shall be non-transferrable.
• LanguageCert India reserves the right to cancel, modify, alter/amend extend, or withdraw the Scholarship Programme and its terms at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.
• Participants agree that LanguageCert India shall not be liable for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Scholarship Programme or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any Scholarship.
• LanguageCert India shall be entitled to use the database of the entries received and/or any personal data included as part of such database, including test-taker data and information in accordance with the LanguageCert India Privacy Policy (accessible at Privacy Policy - LanguageCert) for the purposes and in the manner outlined in the LanguageCert Privacy Policy, including, without limitation, for future promotional, marketing and publicity purpose without any further reference or payment or compensation whatsoever to the participant.
• LanguageCert India shall not be held liable for delays or any issues in connection to the distribution of the Scholarship.
• The Scholarship Programme shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

Applicable Law and Disputes

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute relating to the Terms and conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England, except to the extent you have additional rights under your local law. You agree to indemnify LanguageCert for any claims or damages resulting from your breach of the Terms.
