Prospective Interlocutors are required to study at least one of the LTE Speaking exam practice papers to become familiar with the format and content of the LTE Speaking exams.

Prospective LanguageCert Interlocutors are required to study the Guide for Interlocutors.
Prospective Interlocutors should complete the ‘Interlocutor Training Workbook’, a short online quiz. All answers to the quiz can be found in the Guide for Interlocutors or the CEFR document.
Please note: E-mail addresses are used to identify responses, so it is important that prospective Interlocutors enter the same e-mail in the quiz as the one they used in their application.

All prospective Interlocutors should record and submit a mock interview. This recording will be used to assess their performance as an Interlocutor. It is important that prospective Interlocutors follow the procedure, as well as some useful tips included below, for recording and submitting a mock interview.
Prospective LanguageCert Interlocutors who submit their recording receive a feedback form with comments via email within five working days.
‘To standard’ recordings
Prospective Interlocutors whose recordings are ‘to standard’ will receive their Approved Interlocutor Certificate and an automated link to register their credentials on LanguageCert’s Exams platform.
‘Below standard’ recordings
Prospective Interlocutors whose recordings are ‘below standard’ will need to submit a different recording, taking into consideration the comments outlined in the feedback form.
