LANGUAGECERT and the Universidad de Salamanca have jointly decided that, as of January 2026, LANGUAGECERT will no longer distribute and deliver the USAL esPro Spanish exams, while the Universidad de Salamanca will continue offering the exams independently.

This decision allows LANGUAGECERT to continue focusing on accelerating innovation in product development and testing for its English language portfolio, while the Universidad de Salamanca maintains its commitment to teaching Spanish as a foreign language and promoting Hispanic culture worldwide.

The partnership between LANGUAGECERT and the Universidad de Salamanca began in 2017, combining the University’s expertise in Spanish language teaching and assessment with our state-of-the-art online assessment platform. Together, they delivered the USAL esPro exams globally, providing candidates with a reliable, flexible, and internationally recognised Spanish language certification.

You can take a USAL esPro exam through LANGUAGECERT until 31 December 2025. All exam sessions scheduled up to this date will take place as planned, using LANGUAGECERT’s systems and processes. Any vouchers purchased will also remain valid until the end of 2025.

From January 2026, the Universidad de Salamanca will offer Spanish exams independently. Further information about exam registration and administration will be available directly from the university through its official channels.

If you were issued a LANGUAGECERT USAL esPro certificate, you can continue to request replacement certificates or verification services from LANGUAGECERT in accordance with our standard procedures for past exam records.

Yes. All LANGUAGECERT USAL esPro certificates already issued will remain valid and recognised by the relevant authorities, institutions, and employers. This transition does not affect the status or recognition of any existing certifications.
